SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA - If you’re not planning to be at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park this weekend, don’t tell us you couldn’t find anything to do! This weekend is chock full of activities for every age with the Spirit Kids Music Camp from Friday - Sunday for kids 5-17, William Scott and Silverado Friday night, Tropical Night Rocks the Suwannee Saturday and pro extreme wrestling Sunday. Now, folks, you just can’t beat that lineup!
The Spirit Kids Music Camp is held four times a year for kids 5-17 and it’s free! The only catch - parents or guardian must be on site during the time the kids are in class. Signup is Friday night, classes all day Saturday and Sunday morning with a cookout Saturday night. Sunday is the big day when the kids get to show off what they’ve learned and do they ever put on a show! No one is turned away because they don’t have a guitar, fiddle, mandolin or banjo because instruments are provided for class. Don’t let your child miss out on this exhilarating experience designed to interest today’s children in music so they can pass it on to their children!
Friday night, William Scott and Silverado will be the featured band in the Music Hall with plenty of variety in music so you can dance the night away. Doors open to the Music Hall at 6 p.m.; shows begin at 7 p.m.
Saturday is the BIG day as Tropical Night Rocks the Suwannee’s charity concert gets underway at 1 p.m. in the Music Hall with fun for the entire family, vendors, games for children and indoor events. Steel Bridge Band, Jimmy Parrish and the Ocean Waves, as well as Brent Burns will provide music from 4 p.m. through the evening. Tickets are $20 advance, $25 at the door. VIP tickets are also available and include lots of amenities.
Sunday evening at 7 p.m. extreme Pro wrestling gets underway in the Music Hall with the main event a Thumbtack Death Match - Anything Goes match between Jake Slater and PAIN. A special Midget Match will also be held between Mighty Midget and La Parka Jr. along with four more extreme matches. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 ringside, $8 general admission, 5 and under are free.
As always, the SOS Café and Restaurant will have food and beverages available at regular prices during events in the Music Hall.
